Index comparing the unit FOB price of honey exported by Chile against the weighted average of international reference prices.
How to read this figure
Method
Unit FOB price of honey exported by Chile divided by the weighted average of the international reference prices for the same year. It equals one when the Chilean price matches that average. The United States price, in dollars per pound, is converted to dollars per kilogram by dividing it by 0.45359237, the exact value of the pound.
Limitations
The series has no published figures until there is a published rule for bringing the monthly Chilean price to the year. An index without one of its prices would be a different index, and it is not published under this record.
Confidentiality
No threshold: this is an aggregate market price, not calculated over identifiable people or firms.
Revision policy
The whole series is recalculated when the agency publishes a new edition, and the previous version is kept as an erratum with its reason.
