How to read this figure

Method

ODEPA publishes an average price per week. The monthly figure is the simple average of the weeks the source itself assigns to that month.

Limitations

The average is simple because the source does not report how many observations lie behind each week. It is the retail price, not the price the beekeeper receives. The figure is in Chilean pesos, without conversion. The source does not say whether its figures are final, so all of them are published with the same status. Price monitoring has included honey since 2019, and the series starts that year.

Confidentiality

No threshold: this is an aggregate market price, not calculated over identifiable people or firms.

Revision policy

The whole series is recalculated when the agency publishes a new edition, and the previous version is kept as an erratum with its reason.
